Announcement of Organizational Changes


Suntory Holdings Limited (president: Nobutada Saji) would like to announce the organizational changes that are to be made in various companies of the Suntory Group.

Moreover, Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (president: Nobuhiro Torii) would like to announce the organizational changes that are to be made in the companies of its Group.

Organization Changes

Reorganization of Suntory Holdings Limited

As of 1 April 2013

To integrate and strengthen the corporate communication activities of the Suntory Group as a whole, a Corporate Communications Division will be established, and the Public Relations Department, CSR Department and Environmental Sustainability Strategy Department will be placed under it.

Establishment of Suntory Global Innovation Center Limited

As of 27 March 2013

To strengthen the research capabilities of the Suntory Group as a whole, a new company, Suntory Global Innovation Center Limited, will be established (see News Release No. 11721). It will be placed under Suntory Holdings Limited.

Reorganization of Suntory Wine International Limited

As of 1 April 2013

To create a system in which marketing activities and sales activities are closely coordinated, a Wine Sales & Marketing Division combining the current Business Planning Division and Sales & Marketing Division, will be newly established. Moreover, the Business Planning Department, Domestic Brand Marketing Department, Imported Brand Marketing Department 1, Imported Brand Marketing Department 2, Sales & Marketing Division, and Nationwide Chain Marketing Division will be placed under the new Wine Sales & Marketing Division. In addition, a Corporate Strategy Division will be established to handle the management and overseas strategy of Suntory Wine International Limited and the Group companies under it.

Reorganization of Suntory Beverage & Food Limited

As of 1 April 2013

To strengthen the management system, a Human Resources Department will be established under Business Administration Division. Moreover, a Business Planning Department will be established under the Beverage & Food Business Division for the purpose of vigorously promoting the integrated reform of all operations in the domestic beverage and food business.

Reorganization of Suntory Foods Limited

As of 1 April 2013

⋅In order to centrally manage sales activities as well as profit and loss, and to vigorously promote a coordinated system of operations, Sales Development & Marketing Promotion Division 1 and Sales Development & Marketing Promotion Division 2 will be integrated to newly create the Sales Development & Marketing Promotion Division.

⋅The Nationwide Vending Machine Sales Department will be moved from under the Sales & Marketing Division to under the Vending Machine Business Division. At the same time, the name of the Vending Machine Marketing Department in the Vending Machine Business Division will be changed to the Vending Machine Market Promotion Department.

⋅To accelerate growth of the water business, the Water Business Department will be reorganized to newly establish the Water Division.

⋅To expand the size and earnings of the fountain business as a whole, the Market Development Department will be reorganized to newly establish the Fountain Division. Capabilities for cultivating major restaurant chains will be strengthened, as will capabilities for developing products and equipment.

⋅To promote sales efforts directed at major nationwide chain stores more vigorously, the Nationwide Chainstores Sales Department will be strengthened and expanded to newly establish the Nationwide Chainstores Sales Division. At the same time, the Sales & Marketing Division will become the Overall Sales & Marketing Division.

Establishment of Suntory Beverage Service Limited

As of 1 April 2013

⋅To accelerate growth of the vending machine business and its earnings, the six existing subsidiaries will be integrated to establish a new company, Suntory Beverage Service Limited. (See News Release No. 11723.)
