On March 6 (Tuesday), Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) is launching the nationwide sale of the new Suntory Okudaisen Blueberry Yogurina & Tennensui as the newest member of its Yogurina brand.
Launched in 2015, Suntory Yogurina & Tennensui is the No. 1*1 selling flavored water for three consecutive years. Suntory Yogurina & Tennensui is very popular with consumers as a unique drink that is clear in appearance but features the delicious flavor of yogurt.

Suntory Okudaisen Blueberry Yogurina & Tennensui features the sour-sweet flavor of blueberries from designated growers in the Okudaisen area. Adding Suntory Okudaisen Blueberry Yogurina & Tennensui to the popular Suntory Yogurina & Tennensui product line will further stimulate the Yogurina brand and the flavored water market.
●Characteristics of the product’s flavor
We focused on ingredients to achieve the richness of yogurt and the sour-sweet flavor of blueberries in a clear beverage. Suntory Okudaisen Blueberry Yogurina & Tennensui features a pleasant balance of sweet and sour, and a refreshing aftertaste.
-Focus on ingredients
Similar to the popular Suntory Yogurina & Tennensui, we use whey, a transparent ingredient derived from milk to achieve the type of rich flavor typical in yogurt or lactic acid drinks.
We use only blueberries grown by designated producers in Okudaisen.
Instead of blueberry juice, we use blueberry extract to capture only the sour-sweet flavor and aroma to feature the refreshing flavor of blueberries.

We blend the refreshing aroma of blueberries with the rejuvenating aroma of citrus fruit to create an invigorating sensation.
-Focus on water
We use Suntory Tennensui to create a refreshing aftertaste and clear flavor.
●Package characteristics
We designed the package that easily identifies with being a blueberry yogurt-flavored beverage while also expressing our focus on ingredients and the special nature of the product.
-Cap and label
We adopted a purple cap to associate the beverage with blueberry.
The label uses a large font for the product name, and features blueberry illustration and a “sourced from select farms” logo to convey that we only use special blueberries from select locations.
-PET bottle
We use a slim bottle with a special embossed texture to express our focus on blueberry fruit and product flavor.
Timed with product sales launch, we will conduct an aggressive marketing campaign to drive sales of Suntory Okudaisen Blueberry Yogurina & Tennensui.
