Suntory Beverage & Food Limited (SBF) will launch its updated Suntory Green Tea Iyemon nationwide on Tuesday, March 20.

Suntory Green Tea Iyemon is an authentic green tea made with tea leaves carefully selected by a “chasho” (master tea blender) from Fukujuen in Kyoto, a venerable tea company founded more than 200 years ago. Since its launch in 2004, it has received high praise from a broad range of customers.

By improving its taste and packaging, we have taken this authentic tea to a new level that is as close as it gets to teapot flavor.

• Taste Characteristics
“It is like tea from a teapot,” “It has a refreshing aroma that’s ideal for tea,” “It is clean with a refreshing aftertaste”: Building on the tea’s already popular taste, we have added a highly fragrant “first-picked kabusecha tea” to strengthen the relaxing aroma of a tea that tastes straight from the teapot. Moreover, by using richly flavored, astringent tea leaves, we have created a flavorful tea with a clean finish and aftertaste.

• Packaging Design
With the “Kyoto Fukujuen Iyemon” logo displayed prominently on three sides and now with a white cap, the inviting design has the same sense of quality in a bottle that is immediately recognizable and easy to grab.
