Where Japanese Malt Whisky Originates.

Cultivated in the Four Seasons of Japan.
Whisky is a blessing of the locale where it is created and cultivated. We aim for quality craftsmanship by utilizing Yamazaki’s water and climate, and changes throughout the four fertile seasons. Our craftsmanship stems from our gratitude for the gifts of nature in this locale.

Together With the Local People.
The Yamazaki locale conveys a sense of rich cultural history, as represented by Minase and Shio Shrine. We have been making whisky in this historical region with the support of the local people.

From Person to Person, an Inherited Ambition.
Craftsmen today make the most of the whiskies distilled by their predecessors. Craftsmen in the future will utilize the whiskies we are distilling now. Craftsmen keep future generations in mind as they craft whisky.

Using the Five Basic Senses.

DISTILLERY TOURThe Story of Yamazaki MONOZUKURI
Continues for the Next 100 Years
Yamazaki Distillery is the first and oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan.
The tour begins at the Whisky Museum, a building that has been part of our history since the founding of the distillery.
We are dedicated to producing a powerful original whisky that can be matured for a long period of time. In order to achieve the quality we aim for, we never spare any effort in the creation of the original spirit. By combining multiple elements in every process, a wide variety of whisky spirits are created. This attention to detail is at the heart of Yamazaki's craftsmanship.
We invite you to experience with all your senses the aromas and temperatures that can only be felt at this unique location.
