Celebrate Christmas with Handel's Beloved Masterpiece

Suntory Hall is pleased to present Handel`s seasonal masterpiece, Messiah, on December 24, performed by the internationally renowned baroque ensemble and choir Bach Collegium Japan (BCJ). This year, it will be directed by BCJ principal conductor Masato Suzuki, who delivered a brilliant performance last year.
This year’s Messiah brings together four distinguished soloists from U.K. and Japan who are all regular collaborators of Bach Collegium Japan. Acclaimed British soprano Rachel Nicholls, the rising British countertenor Alexander Chance, Japanese lyric tenor Makoto Sakurada, and baritone Toru Kaku.
As last year, BCJ’s performance of Messiah at Suntory Hall will be streamed on the Digital Suntory Hall platform (Paid Live Stream and On Demand), available to an international audience.
