Japan’s largest chamber music festival
Bringing together world-class artists across the generations

In June, a colourful array of flowers will again bloom in Suntory Hall’s Chamber Music Garden (CMG). 21 concerts over 16 days, it is the largest chamber music festival in Japan and features a wide range of artists from both Japan and abroad. Musicians from Germany’s renowned Kronberg Academy, award winner at Japan’s Praemium Imperiale 2022, will give two concerts showcasing the talents of their current students and alumni. Horn virtuoso Radek Baborák makes a welcome return. The Aoi Trio, alumni of Suntory Hall’s Chamber Music Academy, continues their exploration of Beethoven’s Piano Trios; meanwhile Shunske Sato and colleagues will perform late Brahms chamber music on period instruments. Alongside CMG regulars such as Michie Koyama, Naoko Yoshino , distinguished artists such as Mayumi Miyata and Tomoki Kitamura make their appearance for the first time.
