Celebrating Our Fifth Annual "One Suntory Walk" to Promote Health and Wellness at Suntory and in Our Communities

In October 2021, we held Suntory’s fifth annual “One Suntory Walk,” a health and wellness program that encourages Suntorians around the globe to join in walking for a cause. The initiative simultaneously encourages physical activity while raising funds to help support charities and organizations that align with our company’s dedication to giving back to society. Since 2017, “One Suntory Walk” has been promoting Suntory’s belief that the health and productivity of its employees are the source of its success.

As part of Suntory’s commitment to global health and wellness, Suntory pledged to donate $10 per One Suntory Walk participant to the “COVID-19 Crisis Fund” at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), or Doctors Without Borders, which is an organization responding to the pandemic. This French international humanitarian organization is best known for its projects in conflict zones and in countries affected by endemic diseases. We are proud to donate the funds to an organization that not only aligns with our company values but has also met the challenge of responding to medical crises around the world, from natural disasters to the pandemic.

Throughout the month of October, 7,014 Suntorians from 34 countries around the world participated in the One Suntory Walk. These participants walked a total of 1.03 million steps – a distance of 786,607 kilometers – and raised $70,140 for MSF.

This was the second year Suntory has held the One Suntory Walk during the COVID-19 pandemic and this year’s theme was "Let's step forward together!" This theme was chosen to inspire Suntorians to take a step forward both physically and figuratively. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, the One Suntory Walk event was able to emphasize the importance of our One Suntory community and giving back to society, receiving almost twice as many postings on our bulletin board compared to last year.

While our 2021 One Suntory Walk has concluded, we continue to celebrate the inclusiveness and dedication of our employees whose values align with our company’s mission. This sense of responsibility and community is what makes all of us proud to be Suntorians. Suntory will continue to host initiatives that support a prosperous society and bring Suntorians together from around the globe.
