Supporting the Global Fight Against COVID-19

As a global leader in both the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages industries, we believe Suntory has a role to play in supporting the global fight against COVID-19. We’re providing sanitizing solutions to help those impacted by the crisis and support the brave health and medical professionals on the frontlines of this fight.

In Japan, Suntory Holdings will be providing neutral alcohol produced in Suntory Spirits’ Osaka Plant to hospitals and healthcare facilities to use as disinfectant. While Suntory has been exploring ways to best support the increasing need of hand sanitizers, this comes amid a temporary lift of regulation enabling the use of liquids with high alcohol content as disinfectants in hospitals nationwide. Neutral alcohol will be delivered to hospitals and healthcare facilities in late April.

Beam Suntory, a member of Suntory Group and global leader in premium spirits, has started producing hand sanitizers in its production facility in Clermont, Kentucky. These finished sanitizers are now being donated to first responders, medical professionals, and other essential service providers across the state. Also in Chicago, Beam Suntory donated hand sanitizer to support local medical professionals, first responders, and health facilities combatting COVID-19 across Illinois communities.
