Suntory Natural Water Sanctuary ― First Hand Experience with Forestry for Employees Project A total of 5,025 participants since 2014

Suntory has conducted a “Forest Stewardship Program” at Natural Water Sanctuary sites throughout Japan over about three years since 2014, targeting some 6,000 domestic Group company employees, centering on employees from Suntory Holdings Limited and Suntory Beverage & Food Limited.

Record of cultivating forests

Cutting down evergreen shrubs brightens the interior of the forest and stimulates growth in the grass and trees sprouting on the ground. The plants take root, their leaves fall and they live in harmony with a variety of bacteria, organisms and small animals, and all of them helping to cultivate the soil. The soft soil that is cultivated slowly filters fallen rainwater underground, nurturing pristine groundwater that is vital to Suntory.

Through first-hand experience with forestry including pruning and planting trees themselves, a great many employees will share the feeling of "Coexisting with Nature," and put into practice "Follow Your Nature."
