Our Wineries
SUNTORY TOMI NO OKA WINERY

TOMI NO OKA WINERY, located in Kofu, Yamanashi Prefecture, overlooks the Kofu Basin with magnificent Mt. Fuji to the south, and was named for the beauty revealed as one climbs these hills.
This idyllic region is blessed with perfect conditions for cultivating grapes, and the winery has been in operation for more than a century since 1909. Today, 12 varieties of grapes are grown in vineyards stretching across 25 hectares. We focus on using only grapes from our own vineyards, adhering to our ironclad rule of growing each variety in the soil that suits it best. Our wines are literally created from the ground up.

SUNTORY SHIOJIRI WINERY

SHIOJIRI WINERY focuses on terroirs of each region and carefully selected grapes grown in and around Nagano Prefecture. We work closely with local growers to ensure each wine reflects the character of its terroir. Conditions in Nagano are naturally suited to grape cultivation, and it’s become well-known as a producer of grapes for premium quality Japanese wine, with varieties that include white Chardonnay and red Merlot and Muscat Bailey A grapes.
