Summary

The Suntory Foundation began carrying out its own scholarly and research projects in fiscal 2011 on topics of international and interdisciplinary significance related to the humanities and social sciences. The plan is to make the results of those projects widely known to society at large and present worthwhile knowledge about Japanese society and the world by publishing them in Asteion magazine, creating and distributing printed materials, holding symposia, and making the material available on the Internet.
