Forum Report

On October 25, 2019, Reexamining Japan in Global Context's 16th forum took place in Tokyo. The theme of the event was "Criminal Justice."

The first presentation was given by Jordan Hyatt, an assistant professor in the Department of Criminology and Justice Studies at Drexel University. His presentation was titled "American Crime Trends and Opportunities for Penal Reform". The second presentation by Tatsuya Ota, a professor in Faculty of Law at Keio University, was titled "Trends in Crime and the Prevention of Re-Offending in Japan."
