We created Akadama Port Wine, trailblazing Japan’s Western liquor culture and launching Japan’s first whisky business.
Today, in addition to making and selling our own beer and other various types of liquor, we deliver global name-brand liquors to customers.
We have also expanded our operations overseas?? to China and other countries in Oceania and Asia as well as the Americas and Europe.
Furthermore, we have developed our wine business with a global perspective, producing quality wine here in Japan as well as partnering with famous wineries in countries around the world.
We deliver a diverse array of products ? from soft drinks to health foods ? to help customers lead a more enriching and healthy lifestyle.
In addition to a comprehensive lineup spanning multiple beverage categories ? green tea, oolong tea, coffee, carbonated drinks, mineral water, and more ? we have developed a health food business that utilizes the scientific research and biotechnology we have accumulated over the years.
We are actively working to expand our soft drinks and foods overseas ??in North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and elsewhere.
We have branched out into restaurant chains and processed food products both in Japan and abroad through companies such as DYNAC CORPORATION, which develops bars and restaurants.
Furthermore, we have developed a wide range of restaurant businesses in Mexico, Asia, and other locations abroad.
Additionally, we are developing a variety of operations centered around nature and the culture of daily life, including florists, sales support businesses, and reception services at cultural facilities.
A Cross-functional Company
Research and development is the lifeblood of a manufacturer. It’s what makes value-added manufacturing possible at Suntory. We have the Institute for Water Science for conducting basic research on water, our company’s starting point.
We also operate businesses that serve as lubricant within the group, including quality assurance, procurement and distribution, and systems.
