OSAKA, Japan, April 7, 2025 -“A Synchronization of Air and Water,” an entertainment arranged jointly by Suntory Holdings Limited and Daikin Industries, Ltd. at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, was certified as a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS TM title for being the “largest interactive fountain feature.”*1 A certification ceremony for the record was held on April 7, 2025, within the Expo site at the Water Plaza, and a certificate was presented by a Guinness World Records official adjudicator.

“A Synchronization of Air and Water” is performed in conjunction with A Spectacle of Air and Water “Under the Midnight Rainbow,” which is being held every night at the Water Plaza. It is an audience-participation event that allows visitors to gain a sense of the world of the nighttime spectacle during daytime. In “Synchronization of Air and Water,” water shoots up in response to the gestures of participants, giving them the spectacular experience of controlling approximately 300 fountains. Watching the fountains rise and fall in various patterns according to their movements provides participants with a thrilling feeling as if they have become a magician.

This certification recognizes the installation area of the fountains that the participants “manipulate” in "A Synchronization of Air and Water" as the world’s largest interactive fountain facility that can be operated or controlled by the public.

In addition to “Under the Midnight Rainbow,” Suntory and Daikin are providing various other types of entertainment at the Expo site throughout the day.

The two companies hope that all visitors to the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan will enjoy “A Synchronization of Air and Water,” which has been certified by the Guinness World Records, and that the entertainment will create a special experience of the Expo.

*1 Interactive fountain feature: This refers to an artificial, decorative fountain facility in which the audience can remotely control the physical display of the fountains.
