Wins MONDE SELECTION’s GRAND GOLD MEDAL

Suntory Beer Limited’s The Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale has won the GRAND GOLD MEDAL in the Beers, Waters and Soft Drinks category at the 57th MONDE SELECTION. With its headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, MONDE SELECTION is an international contest that evaluates beverages, food products and other consumer products. The Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale has also won the Prize of the Jury, which is awarded to only one product in each category. It also brought home the International High Quality Trophy, given to products that have been granted Gold or Grand Gold Awards for three consecutive years, by achieving this feat once again after 2016 and 2017. The award ceremony was held in Valencia, Spain on May 24th local time.

The Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale has a fruity taste and refreshing fragrance which make it a premium ale beer suited to the Japanese palate.
This time it was recognized for its unique flavor as an ale beer born in Japan and granted the GRAND GOLD MEDAL, the highest award. Customer evaluation has been extremely high too. Sales volume for January to April this year reached 810,000 cases, recording a 5% growth year on year.

Among The Premium Malt’s branded products, The Premium Malt’s won the GRAND GOLD MEDAL for three consecutive years from 2005 to 2007. We feel extremely honored to know that the second pillar of the brand, The Premium Malt's Kaoru Ale, has also won the GRAND GOLD MEDAL and the brand has further strengthened its reputation in the world for representing high quality.
