Tomi White 2013 wins Gold Medal at French International Wine Competition “Les Citadelles du Vin”

Suntory Wine International Limited was awarded the Gold Medal at the prestigious French international wine competition “Les Citadelles du Vin 2016” for its Suntory Tomi No Oka Winery Tomi White 2013, as well as the Silver Medal for its Suntory Japan Premium Takayamamura Chardonnay 2014.
“Les Citadelles du Vin” is a prestigious international wine competition organized under the patronage of the Organisation Internationale de la Vigne et du Vin.

Characteristics of the Award-winning Wines

Suntory Tomi No Oka Winery Tomi White 2013
This wine uses only grapes from the Tomi no Oka region, home to vineyards that benefit from an especially fine climate even for Yamanashi Prefecture, which is renowned for its grapes. It is characterized by fruit fragrances reminiscent of Japanese citrus and tropical fruits and a mellow, full-bodied flavor.

Suntory Japan Premium Takayamamura Chardonnay 2014
This wine uses only chardonnay grapes from Takayamamura in Kamitakai, Nagano Prefecture. It is characterized by a complex, mellow fragrance and dense flavor.
