Transfer of Shares in “China Beer Business” Joint Venture

- Suntory Beer Brand to Continue Sales by Granting Licenses -

TOKYO, JAPAN, October 18, 2015 – Suntory (China) Holding Co., Ltd. (Chairman: Sho Senba; "Suntory China" below) signed an agreement on Sunday, October 18 consenting to the transfer to Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd. (Chairman: SUN Ming Bo; "Tsingtao Brewery" below) of all shares in Suntory China's possession of two joint ventures with Tsingtao Brewery: Suntory Tsingtao Brewery (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Tsingtao Brewery Suntory (Shanghai) Sales Co., Ltd.
By concluding a new production and sales license agreement, the Suntory beer brand will continue to be sold as normal—principally in Shanghai and Jiangsu Province—following the transfer of shares.
Suntory China and Tsingtao Brewery established the joint ventures in 2013, and both companies have grown their business.

The Suntory Group will aim for further growth in China in the spirits and wine business as well as in the soft drink business.
