Suntory Museum of Art (director: Shingo Torii) has published “ART & ABOUT ROPPONGI” , an English booklet that introduces art facilities in Roppongi.
The museum aims to reach a wider audience of foreign residents and visitors to Japan through the booklet, and spread information about the attractions of Roppongi, which has recently been drawing attention as a major art spot. The 16-page booklet lists museums, galleries, music halls and public art found throughout the Roppongi area, and can be used as an art guidebook to deepen one’s enjoyment when exploring the neighborhood.
The Suntory Museum of Art’s feature page covers its Japanese art collection and “Gencho-an” tea-ceremony room, introduces traditional Japanese culture through illustrations, and encourages readers to have diverse culture and art experiences while in Roppongi.
“ART & ABOUT ROPPONGI” is available at the Suntory Museum of Art reception area and in several other spots within Tokyo. The museum plans to actively continue releasing information in foreign languages in the future, as well.
