TOKYO, JAPAN, November 5, 2014 – The company names of Suntory Liquors Limited and Suntory Beer & Spirits Limited will change to "Suntory Spirits Limited" and "Suntory Liquors Limited," respectively, as of January 1, 2015.
As of October this year, the beer business of Suntory Liquors Limited became independent and the company became dedicated to the spirits business. At the same time, its management integrated with that of Beam Suntory Inc. to become one with that company and promote the spirits business. Accompanying this change in the company's business, its name will change to Suntory Spirits Limited.
Suntory Beer & Spirits Limited long had a wide-ranging lineup comprising beers, whiskies, RTDs, shochu and liqueurs. In addition, the company began to also deal in wine products in October of this year, enabling it to sell a comprehensive range of alcoholic beverages. With this change in the company's business will also come a new name: Suntory Liquors Limited.
From January 1, 2015 onward, by giving the companies names suitable to their businesses, both companies will continue to develop their business activities to make further leaps forward.
