The Suntory Group believes it is important to proactively incorporate diverse human resources and diverse values to continuously create new values without being restricted by nationality or age and to ensure fairness and make the most of such diversity.
We sponsored "Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2023," the largest LGBTQ+ event in Asia, as a gold sponsor and exhibited a booth to share the desire to realize a society in which all people, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, can live positively and proudly in their way.
At the booth, Suntory employees as a volunteer introduced the initiatives of the entire Group, including other BUs, distributed Suntory's original ALLY(*) stickers, donated a sum of money according to the number of participants to LGBTQ+ related organizations, and collected messages for the company and society. During the two-day event, 1,356 visitors visited our booth and sent us many messages. We will donate 135,600 yen to the related organization. In addition, President Niinami and volunteers participated in the parade through the streets of Shibuya on the 23rd.
We will continue to join external opportunities to learn, to raise awareness and promote activities within the company.
