Suntory Holdings Limited, in cooperation with Suntory (China) Holdings Limited and Shanghai Voluntary Service Foundation, has been implementing Mizuiku - Education Program for Nature and Water in Shanghai since 2021. In March 2023, with the support of Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Sustainable Education Development Association, the Mizuiku program was launched in Beijing.
In China, more than 20,000 elementary school students have participated in the program to date, and this year the program is expected to reach a total of approximately 25,000 students in Shanghai and Beijing, spreading knowledge about water resource conservation. It is said that the amount of water resources per capita in Beijing is less than 1/5 of the amount of water resources per capita nationwide in China and making efforts to raise awareness of water conservation is an urgent need.
The Suntory Group will pass down the importance of water to the next generation and promote the sustainable development of water conservation and water resource protection activities.
