With our customers, employees and stakeholders in mind,
we create enriching and fun communication through food.
We aim to contribute to food culture,

SDG Vision

The DYNAC Group delivers food to customers provided by the rich blessings of nature. To continue communicating the joy of food to customers and to pass down a rich natural world to the next generation, we aim to achieve sustainability where people and nature beneficially impact one another.

The SDGs, comprising 17 goals and 169 targets for the world to collectively achieve, aspire to leave no one behind. We will proactively engage in activities that contribute to the SDGs through our principal food business.

Primary Sustainability Activities

Four Sustainability Initiatives

(1) To Create Harmony with Customers and Business Partners: Provide Safe and Reliable Food
—Pursue Food Safety and Reliability to Communicate the Joy of Food to Customers

(1) To Create Harmony with Customers and Business Partners: Provide Safe and Reliable Food —Pursue Food Safety and Reliability to Communicate the Joy of Food to Customers

We incorporate customer feedback into our company activities. Based on the DYNAC quality policy of “All for the Quality,” we have established our Food Safety Philosophy and Food Safety Activities Policy and take steps to maintain and improve quality throughout the food chain.
We develop food culture, create new value and inspiration, and achieve sustainability in society by delivering fun communication through food.

Pursuing Safety and Security through Our Quality Assurance Management System

We have established and are operating a Quality Assurance Management System to pursue food safety and security, and to provide services that satisfy our customers. Based on the system, the Purchasing and Quality Assurance Divisions take the lead in formulating quality assurance policies (plans) while conducting restaurant hygiene inspections and analysis of defective products. We also carry out internal audits as we work to make continual improvements.

Establishment of Policy on Responding to Customer Feedback

The DYNAC Group has established a Policy on Responding to Customer Feedback, as we work constantly to improve customer satisfaction.

Policy on Responding to Customer Feedback:
  • We respond promptly, appropriately and in good faith to customer inquiries and comments.
  • We sincerely appreciate the opinions and requests of our customers, and actively reflect them in our corporate activities.
  • We listen constantly to our customers’ opinions and use them to improve our products and services.

Reflection of Customer Feedback in Restaurant Activities

We actively collect customer feedback from our website and other sources, and have established a network that allows us to share feedback and inquiries with all of our restaurants. Suggestions at each restaurant are fed back to the restaurants and sales managers, and are reflected in restaurant improvement activities.

(2) To Create Harmony with Nature: Contribute to the Natural Environment
—Pass Down the Rich Blessings of Nature to the Next Generation

(2) To Create Harmony with Nature: Contribute to the Natural Environment —Pass Down the Rich Blessings of Nature to the Next Generation

To pass down a sustainable natural environment to the next generation, we implement environmental management throughout our Group based on reducing environmental impacts directly associated with our business activities.

ISO14001 Certification

We have been continuously certified for ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management systems, since December 2009. We continuously advance environmental improvement activities through the PDCA cycle in order to put into practice the environmental policy set forth by the DYNAC Group.

Environmental Policy

The DYNAC Group delivers food to customers provided by the rich blessings of nature. We proactively engage in environmental conservation activities to continue communicating the joy of food to customers and to pass down a rich natural world to the next generation.

We engage in the following four areas to achieve our Environmental Policy.

  • Value and respect food
  • Value and respect resources (electricity, gas, water)
  • Be mindful of conserving energy in our business processes
  • Support employees that participate in activities for the natural environment

Reduction and Recycling of Food Waste

The DYNAC Group complies with the Food Recycling Law and works to reduce and recycle food waste such as food scraps.

Use of RSPO-Certified Detergent

By using RSPO-certified products, we support smallholder farmers and contribute to protecting subtropical rainforests and animals that live in nearby areas.

RSPO-Certified

What is RSPO Certification?

There are two types of RSPO certification.
One is the Principles and Criteria (P&C) certification for plantations and oil mills. This demonstrates that their production is sustainable and meets the principles and criteria that RSPO sets for its certification.
The other is the Supply Chain Certification Standard (SCCS) for manufacturing, processing and logistics processes (the supply chain) that handle products that use palm oil produced under P&C certification. SCCS certification demonstrates that the products satisfy the requirements set by RSPO.
Organizations that have product ownership rights for each process until the final product is finished, including trade companies and processors that source certified palm oil, and product manufacturers, can obtain SCCS certification.

(3) To Create Harmony with Society: Community Co-creation and Social Contributions
—Expand Community-Based Connections and Food Culture

In cooperation with local producers and local governments, we conduct initiatives designed to activate communities and create sustainability in them through food, aiming to realize communities’ growth potential.

(3) To Create Harmony with Society: Community Co-creation and Social Contributions —Expand Community-Based Connections and Food Culture

Connections to Local Producers

We strengthen our cooperation with local producers and expand intra-Group sales channels to increase producers’ sales.

Operation of “Michi no Eki” Roadside Stations

Through operation of “Michi no Eki” roadside stations with the concepts of local production for local consumption and community co-creation, we empower communication with local farmers and producers and aim to operate facilities that users find appealing. We operate the food spaces as well as all roadside station facilities to support community activation through public–private cooperation.

(4) To Create Harmony with Employees: Diversity Management
—Develop Diverse Human Resources That Can Extend Our Dreams around the World

(4) To Create Harmony with Employees: Diversity Management —Develop Diverse Human Resources That Can Extend Our Dreams around the World

Diversity management is central to our human resources policy. We aim to develop human resources that pursue new value creation and to create workplaces overflowing with creativity, where all employees can demonstrate their potential to the fullest.

Employee Development

To develop human resources, we provide various types of internal training for prospective hirees, as well as training for new employees, management training, leadership training, and other programs. We present “DYNAC Awards” as a system of business process evaluation to improve our hospitality, technical capabilities and team skills. We also hold a company-wide D1 Grand Prix, competition for customer service skills, as well as a Product Development Contest and Drink Development Contest to provide opportunities to share employee growth among all of our members.

Promotion of Diversity

The DYNAC Group believes that respect for diversity is important for corporate development. We have an internal system in place to enable employees to flourish in a diverse workforce regardless of gender or age.
Contributing to the local community of each restaurant is also essential for corporate growth, and we consider the employment of people with disabilities to be a particularly important issue. We will continue our efforts in cooperation with local support organizations, Hello Work, supporters and guardians as we strive to provide meticulous and individualized accommodations that help make working and living fulfilling for those with disabilities themselves.

Eminently Fair and Reasonable Evaluation System

The DYNAC Group has introduced a job qualification system. Employees in management positions set their own goals using a goal management sheet, and discuss the results with their supervisors during interviews, which results in highly satisfactory evaluations and treatment.

Ensuring Reasonable Working Hours

Individual working hours are tallied each month, and a list of employees who exceed the appropriate amounts is compiled, which is reported to management and their department heads to suggest corrective action. To achieve more fundamental solutions, we are reviewing staffing levels and modifying restaurant operations toward optimizing working hours.

Childcare, Nursing Care and Support

We have established internal rules in compliance with the law and promote the use of childcare and nursing care leave. When requested by eligible employees, we also offer shorter hours, exemptions from overtime work, and restrictions on late-night work.

Support for Mental and Physical Health Management

We have enhanced our management system with regard to employee health management, ensuring that employees undergo regular health checkups. With regard to mental health care, we conduct annual stress checks on employees. In addition to providing management training for managers, including executives, the company has established an external consultation service to provide counseling and mental support.
